All of my kilns are less than 50 Amps. I am not talking about commercial/industrial size equipment. If my kilns were any larger, I am sure that the ELECTRICIAN THAT WIRED THEM would have done whatever was appropriate. I am not talking out of my butt. I leave my medication selection to my doctor and my wiring decisions to an electrician. Do the things YOU are good at and leave the rest that could be dangerous to professionals. If you also happen to be a bonded electrician, do it yourself. If you are a trained welder, weld. But know when to cal the wo/man!
