Wood fired pottery is what got me interested in pottery, so I was =
interested in the recent article on wood fired look in an electric kiln. =
I was wondering if anyone had been successful in achieving a substitute =
for the Gerstley Borate in this application? I am new to mixing glazes =
and want to try and achieve this look but don't have any Gerstley =
Borate. Should I stay away from this material completely, given the =
problems with it, and find a substitute or is there something to be said =
for buying some of this material for limited applications such as this =
one.=20
Thanks,
Bert Gibson
