The slab roller at Clay Art will go back and forth. You can roll it
through, then roll it back. The problem is that the canvas sometimes gets
stuck in the middle and bunches up. You always have to hold on to your
canvas and pull for it to work well. Personally, I prefer the kind that
they have at Silvermine which is bigger, and it has the roller that goes
from one end to the other. Just my opinion.
Also, I am curious about your statements that you cannot have a kiln in
Fairfield County because of the zoning restrictions. I think this is true
if you live south of the post road or 95. Up north of the Merritt it is
easier to create smoke.
