I went last Friday...it was FANTASTIC to see so much pottery under one roof!
If we hadn't been traveling, I would have gone back the next day. There are
some shapes and glazes that are still in my mind's eye. Of course I won't
try to duplicate anything I saw, but my mind has been whirling with other
ideas.
It was great to meet and talk to a number of potters, including clayarters
Mark Heimann, Deborah Bouchette, Craig Martell. And I got to see Hank
Morrows pots (bought a small shino piece) but missed meeting Himself.
So next year, if any of you can go, it is a real feast for the soul for
potters. There was also a great glass show, and a weavers' show at the
convention center, but I was too saturated to really absorb much more.
