I use propane only because we don't have natural gas on the islands. i hate running out (it only happened once, and I got the best copper reds...) and having to call them, and pay high prices. There are a few of us potters in Beaufort, and we use Fort Pottery supply, because Brian Fort is dedicated to service, carries Highwater, and stops by four times per year to make free deliveries. Pretty sweet when you're getting a ton of clay. Not sure if he delivers up in Florence, but worth checking out. Jules
