Sorry but I needed a subject.

Hello

I am currently interested in buying an electric potters wheel.
I use a Brent C at a studio and love it.
But I see Creative Industy has a wheel 1/2 HP for a lot less money.
Does anyone have a CI wheel and if so how does it work?????

HI,
I have a CI wheel and love it. Highly recommended by teacher and all wheels
at studio are CI. As for me you cannot go wrong.Even the personal wheels the
teachers use in their home are CI.
Aloha,
Carol

Here are my own opinions based on my own experience when as a
contract thrower I worked on Brents, CIs, Pacificas and Soldners.
My fave: Soldner. It's the Cadillac of wheels. You need an extra
hefty wad of dough for it though.
CIs are good, nice and smooth, not too oomphy. Brents are very good,
smooth and tough. I think of the Brent as the Willys Jeep of wheels.
I own one. IMHO they're a bit better engineered than other wheels
excepting the Soldner.
My advice: buy another Brent. If money is too tight, buy the CI.

Here's my $.02. I have had a CI wheel for 13 years and love it. However,
I'm a real spaz with the wheel, so maybe my opinion isn't worth quite $.02.
I have also used Brent and Pacifica. Brent good, but work table was too
small (that was a number of years ago, may be different now). We had
Pacifica's at our pottery and, while they worked ok, maintenance was a
b----.

On the CI, I do like the shape and size of the work table, the ease of
getting at the parts that require maintenance, and the height of the wheel.
It is heavy duty and I use it as a slow-wheel for large hand built pieces.
If I were you, I'd try to find someone with a CI and get them to let me test
drive it before I made up my mind.
