Janet and Russel,
I was just putting some books away and opened up my old Studio potter
Book (1978).
Nils Lou's design for the MFT is there along with Fast Freddie's Wood
kiln. But under energy, there were numerous articles uncluding a system
by Dennis Parks, and oil and water system by Ann Stannard,an article by
Harriet Brisson, another oil system by Paul Soldner,another by Norm
Schulman. That is a very informative book. I checked to see if there
were copies still available on Bookfinder.com and there were.
Good information in that book gleened from previous issues of Studio
Potter magazine.
Also on the list a year or 2 ago, there were rave reviews about Dennis
Park's book, Living in the Country, Growing Weird.
