In case anyone is interested in this workshop, there are still a couple of

The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts in Kalamazoo, MI will sponsor a workshop
with Paul Flickinger and John Lambert to cast a 125 cubic foot Anagama Kiln.
Workshop dates are June 5 - 8, 2003, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
During the 4 day workshop we will design, frame, and cast the kiln.
Participants will learn a variety of formulas for making castable
refractory mixtures, as well as a variety of techniques for accomplishing
the casting process. Participants may leave a few pots for the inaugural
firing. The size of this kiln is ideal for the individual potter or small
group who would enjoy an occasional wood firing.
Workshop is $250, $50 non-refundable withdrawal fee. No refunds will be
given two week prior to the workshop.
