Please, someone stop me if I am wrong here ...but, I think it depends on how high the
porcelain has been fired before you attempt to raku it.
If it has only been bisque fired to 06-08, then you are really only rakuing a white clay
body.
I used to play around with firing the porcelain to vitrification and then trying to raku it.
A true recipe for disaster since the clay has no where to give or go.
But .... when it worked, it was a magnificent if I do say so myself !
