After having done many searches in the archives on various topics, I starte=
d
reading the earliest posts in the archives which seem to start with 1996.
Some of those posts appear to answer questions that had been asked.

In what year did the list begin? Can someone provide me with a little
background on the list? (I couldn=B9t find the answers to these questions in
the archives)

Thanks
Beth

You refer to the crash of 96. The archives were lost due to a server
crash.

I joined in 93 (wow, 10 years!) but I think Richard Burkett and Joe
Molinaro started it in 91.

Hi Elizabeth

Google brings up the first post that Richard posted announcing the
formation of the group: Aug 17, 1992.

This can be found by searching in the "groups" tab at google. I would
also advocate this method for searching past clayart posts vs our
traditional archives (which take tooo long).

we missed celebrating our 10 year anniversary!
