orlando florida clay

There is quite a lot of clay work in the Orlando area of Florida. Axner
is there, just outside the city. Bennett's is in Ocoee(sp?). The
University of FL in Gainsville has a wonderful ceramics program, led by
the Majolica Queen Linda Arbuckle. I think that because of the strong
ceramics program there many potters stay in the surrounding area-like
Penland. The are many galleries and many art fairs. Things are a little
more spread out, and it is a big area. If I remember correctly it is a
few hours drive from Orlando to Gainsville.
