Just had a request on the chat line for a ^ 6 recipe for "Sardonif" Has
anyone heard of it or have the recipe? Evidently the person took the recipe
to their grave.
Thanks,
Noel

This one kept me up all night. Is it possible, just possible, that the
glaze was called Sardonix or Sardonyx--named for the stone? Which the
dictionary describes as a striated stone used for cameos. Starting from
there I would guess it was a zinc glaze with some rutile in it....Or a zinc
glaze high in pain titatium? Or a zinc glaze with tin as opacifier and a
tidge of rutile?
