Hi folks,

http://www.marketplace.org/shows/2003/06/09_mpp.html

I caught this on Monday evening on Marketplace, the half hour business news
program on National Public Radio here in the US.

The first segment is how some arts programs have developed a for profit
business to help fund them, the second is commentary by Peter Sellars about
the importance of art in todays world. He says “Art is being scrubbed from
the American diet. [But] the only thing that is going to make us more secure
is art.” Being a true artist means reinventing the community, says Sellars.

If you go to the link above and scroll down, these two programs are listed
at the bottom of the page (of course!!!).
