Amid all the controversy someone was struggling to find the term "idedic" in
the Webster's Dictionary. Yes "eidetic" , as Snail pointed out, is the word.
Now, since we're in "gossip" mode, here's a little tittle tattle about Noah
Webster: The naughty fellow was apparently once caught by his wife "enjoying
himself" with his housemaid in the study. "Mr Webster!" exclaimed Mrs
Webster, "I am surprised!". To which the cad and bounder pedantically
replied "No my dear, we are surprised, you are shocked".
