Hi folks,
I am pleased -- nay, thrilled! -- nay, "spinning on head" -- to tell you
that my feared hard drive loss turned out to be just a bad RAM
strip. $32.10 later, I'm back in business, with no loss of data that I can
see. Guess who immediately did a long-overdue backup of digital pictures,
Quicken files, etc.
Anyway, it's now again safe to send me images for the spring gallery. I'm
a bit backlogged at the moment, but expect to catch up over the weekend.
I've got some great stuff waiting to be posted, including Diane Winters'
lovely relief tiles and Smart.Conseil's exquisite crystalline eggs, (among
others, not excluding anyone and trying not to make any comparisons but boy
there is some wonderful claywork going on out there in Clayart-land!) I'll
post when I get them uploaded.
To repeat the guidelines, send me no more than 3 images, in .jpg
format. If you know how, you can crop/resize them to 400 pixels high and
compress to about 30K. If you don't know how, just send them and I'll take
care of all that. If your files are enormous, it's better to send them to
my work address: christenas@rfsnc.org, where I have a fast connection.
Thanks to all who expressed sympathy for my computer woes. Back up your
files regularly!
