Yes - frit is more expensive than GB but - it is not as reliable and - as
the supply shrinks the price will catch up - as it has been doing. Remember
- GB is a variable material and chances are you will not know how it
varied.
Best not to get hung up on the cost of materials - better to focus on
getting as many keepers out of each kiln load. The saving will cancel out
any increae in materials cost.
Here is your glaze with the frit 3134 - I have messed with it a bit to
improve the durability and lower the expansion a bit. Let me know if it is
a match - if not I can make it match. Just send me the original and my
revision and tell me how they differ.
