copper carb question

I was running low on Copper Carbonate, and purchased some from a local
vendor. This weekend, while mixing up a batch of glaze, I ran out of =
the
old stuff. Upon opening the new package I became confused (Not an =
unusual
state for me).
The new material was a nice, green-ish color, but my old product was a
lavender hue. The lavender colored stuff had been used in old batches =
and
gave expected results. To err on the side of caution, I did not mix the =
two
in my new batch.
I'm wondering if others have noticed a difference such as I have noticed
when buying from different vendors, or if I simply have two different
materials.
Thanks much

Jimmy,

The nice greenish color of your new batch sounds right for copper carbonate.
I've seen copper carbonate on the blue-ish side, too. I don't know about
lavender as a copper carbonate color -- is it similar to the color of cobalt
carbonate? I hesitate to suggest it; but it's the kind of mix-up that can
occur all to easily at the store or in the studio.
