Just wanted to publically praise Pratt Community College for the great
tile making workshop I just returned from. Marguerite Flanagan of
Silver City, NM and Carol Long of St John's, KS taught; hosted by Marsha
Schrack of PCC. This is the second year I took their workshop. (Last
year I took their alternative firing class. The wood-fire raku using
house brick, oven racks, and fiber scraps was amazing!) You can't beat
the value: 5 long days of hands-on work, a dorm room, materials
included, college credit (if you want it), and a load of knowledge and
fun--all for $210!
