Non-Tongs

Of possible interest to Raku artists=85

Several weeks ago I posted to the list regarding a tool I had developed for
the lifting of bottle form ware from top loading Raku kilns. Because of
the responses both on and off list I decided to further develop the idea.
The =93Non-Tongs=94 are ready to be offered to the public on a trial basis f=
or
10-participants. The trial shall be conducted thusly:

1. Interested parties should contact me at b4thewheel@bendnet.com.

2. The first 10 people desiring to be part of the trial will have
the =93Non-Tongs=94 shipped to them at no cost. The shipment will include a=

FedEx, UPS, or USPS prepaid return label and a questionnaire. Please save
the shipping box for your convenience.

3. The trial participant will have the =93Non-Tongs=94 to use for 60-days.

4. At the end of the 60-days the participant decides to either
purchase or return the =93Non-Tongs=94.
a. Purchase =96 fill out the questionnaire and return it with a check or
money order in the amount of $49.00. We also accept Pay-pal
b. Return =96 fill out the questionnaire and return it with the =93Non-
Tongs=94 using the provided prepaid return label. You will have our
appreciation for all feedback. It will be evaluated and utilized.

The trial is limited to ten, (10) participants. Raku "Non Tongs" are not
availiable to the general public untill the trial is completed, and the
data is evaluated and implemented into the design. I want this tool to be
of such quality as is possible. Thanks in advance to all concerned.

My apologies to those on the list who asked for information on the =93Non-
Tongs=94 a week or so ago; we had a glitch in our computer system and some
files were lost.

Best regards to all,

Hello all.

Thank you all for the wonderful response to my trial offer of the "Raku Non
Tongs" for bottle forms. I Think that I was not quite clear enough
regarding the extremly specialized focus of this tool. This tool is for
lifting bottle shaped forms, with necks too narrow for conventional tongs,
and with rims larger than the diameter of the neck. They work like a charm
for me, with forms as decribed, with top loading kilns. They have no other
purpose. I apologize for the omission of these details. I almost have the
ten participants for the trial. But not quite.
Thank you

Hi,
I am a potter in N. California. I have been recently making some bottle forms that are similar to what you describe, and plan to raku them. I am interesterd in your tool and its process.
Thank you.
