Course Description:
This course is designed to offer people of all skill levels the opportunity
to create works of art from clay that we will dig and process ourselves.
The class will also build and fire a primitive pit-kiln. The experience
will highlight the fundamental nature of ceramics as an art of and about
the earth. Modern innovations will be put aside to interact with clay in a
more direct way. Students will make work based on their impressions of
experiencing the landscape and its' inhabitants and contemporary and pre-
columbian art from Mexico.
Cost: $500. Includes workshop fee, meals, and double occupancy room in a
very nice B and B close to the beach.
Limit 12 people, so please sign up early.
