Elca, My favorite glaze combo on a carved double walled bowl is painting
a white or light majolica glaze on the outside and then dipping it in a
dark non-runny transparent glaze. My double-walled bowl in the Clayart
spring gallery used this technique with a little underglaze over the
majolica on the leaves with a dip into a transparent iron-manganese tan
glaze.

There is some quirk that makes us take on certain tasks, ( like mountain
climbers. because "it is there".)
Clayart did it to me with that discussion on double walled bowls.
Now I have to figure out a glazing process which won't show drips or
will
enhance the specific nature of the carved bowl. !
