I have used human ash to make glaze to go on the urn. The post have been
right about bone fragments - there are also fillings, metal buttons, etc. I had
to use a 200 mesh screen to get a fine enough ash for the glaze. I used no flux
and fired to cone 10. Color was a pale yellow not clear, but the mortician
suspected it might have been due to cause of death - struck by lightening. I
added colorant - Mason Stain and the family loved it. Hope I haven't gross
anyone out. It is a simple process.
