Mount Mitchell is on the Blue Ridge parkway. (The Folk art Center is on
the parkway.) It is close to Burnsville NC. And Spruce Pine is about 15
miles from Burnsville. Penland is in between the two.
Lots of potters in the area. The Toe River Arts council has a map that is
real good,
