Calling all clayarters in/near Atlanta, GA
Stop by this Friday night (July 11) for a gallery opening party, from
7-10pm. The show, "Flashing Series" offers five series of objects,
including vases, bottles, platters, cups, and a fifth mystery series created
by Jennifer D. Martin. We'll have snacks, wine, music, and a great crowd of
clay lovers, artists, and hobbyists. Spend a few hours with us or just
browse the gallery as your first stop that evening.
Jennifer D. Martin is currently a ceramics instructor for Georgia State
University. She works loosely, revealing in the final form her movement
across the surface of the clay. The pieces are finished in a soda kiln with
heavy flashing. The show will continue through July 30.
