I am so enjoying the pictures made available to
us lucky claybuds by our counterparts in Wales.
Aberystwyth (can spell and pronounce it now..)
looks exactly as I'd hoped it would. Constitution
Hill is a perfect setting; the electric railway is a delight. =20
Of course, it's soul-satisfying, as always, to have
faces for the names of claybuds...... loved seeing
Jacqui, Sandi, Jenny and Avril (for longest time I thought
Avril was a guy...... not). Russel and Steve I'd
seen before, Steve in photos .... I know Russel,=20
doesn't everybody? ...
made me feel a part of the group actually seeing familiar
faces as well.
Keep the pics coming, claybuds. May, was that
you in the Consti pics?

and actually succeeding for an occasional
hour ..... I do believe that it can be done and
that all in the household will benefit if I do so.
There's little worse than a grumpy, half-resentful

and not a true reflection of deep&true love felt for
the care-receiver. However, imposing martyrdom
on oneself is not the way to go either..... excluding
the fact that I make a lousy martyr.. Balance.
That's the key. Why is that so bloody difficult to
achieve? Anyway, I'm learning a lot about myself
on this journey,
as I figured I would.... just not what I expected to
learn ... nothing to do with how wonderful and
sweet and light and loving I am under ALL
circumstances....... an all around Great and
Unselfish person..... #1 Support Person says that
this is what he wants ...... the genuine person
with human reactions ... not a saint..... damn good
thing.

Yes, that was me in the tourist picts. It's only about =A32.50 to take the ca=
b
from the campus to the town. Aberystwyth is a great place to be for the
international ceramics festival. It would be good to spend some extra time
to see other parts of Wales. I met somebody from Boston who did just that.
The weather was fine during the weekend, in a british sort of way. Jacqui
and Avril were wearing short sleeves shirts; you know they are locals. :-)
It's a pity there weren't any signs by the outdoor kilns explaining what
they were doing. I had to ask the participating artists for questions and
sometimes they are not available as they are busy with the kilns or chattin=
g
with other guests. I enjoyed it nevertheless.
I'm glad y'all like the partial report I had to offer.
Best Regards
May

Jeremy,
> Attempted to get to the page with Aberystwyth pics and would like to offer two constructive suggestions: Might you have provided the URL directly to the Clayart page with Aberystwyth pics? Even with the verbal reference to their location (which I absorbed on second reading), finding my way to the pics felt a little more like sleuthing than I was ready for :-) Posting such large pics made the wait for loading more than my time and patience had available tonight. I'll be back another day, but a page of thumbnails linked to larger pics would have provided a more winsome experience. I know, it's a trade off between the amount of time you want to take to upload the pics/etc.
Sorry about the pictures being so big. I like big picture, I like to see
more of the detail and am frustrated by pictures that are too small.
However, I handn't expected the pictures to be as big as they were.
Actually non is larger than 79 kb and optimised for the web but when you
have 35, it takes a while to load the page.
I didn't use thumbnails because the pictures aren't going to be up there
for long and I didn't want to invest too much time in it.
Sorry again and hope you come back.
By the way folks, the direct link is
http://users.skynet.be/russel.fouts/clayart.htm but have a look around
the rest of the site too, especially the Gallery, Guest Artists and
Potters Portal pages.

Actually, that was part of my "design". ;-)
