General comment:
I was in the ISP business for a number of years (I worked at Sun
developing and selling software for ISPs). I observed a pretty
high turnover in small hosting companies. The founders burn out,
and shut down or sell the company. Plus, it's a tough business
competing against the big guys.
I also had a personal experience where the hosting company I was
using changed hands three times in about eighteen months, and
each time my site was disrupted by changes.
So now I use a large, national company, Hostway.com. I manage
a couple of dozen sites there for my clients. Hostway is consistently
listed in the top few hosting companies on various rating sites. I've
personally been very pleased with their features and service. If you
