The Newsgroup rec.crafts.pottery archives are here:
They run from latest to earliest, 25 to a page. Threads are navigable,
and load in their entirety. Scroll -up- to find the first post in the
thread. If you prefer, you can select to view only one post per page.
You can also select to view the "original format" if you care to.
Earlier threads, from about 1996 on, can be found via the search input
field. Be sure to click the dot for the "Search only in
rec.crafts.pottery" selection. The search includes the subject line and
the body of the post as far as I can tell.
The posts are more "cut and dried" than clayart, with little display of
"personality", except for the occasional "trolling" and spamming that
has occurred in the past.
Some Clayarters also post to this Usenet newsgroup.
