Elzbieta - you started out asking about periodicals
for functional work and by now, we've diverged into
international magazines.

I agree with Lili about Ceramics Monthy if you
subscribe to only one and I have recently renewed
Ceramic Review from Britain (great format).

But for INTERNATIONAL work (not necessarily "how
to...") I have to say Ceramics: Art and Perception
published by Janet Mansfield out of Australia is
simply the best in English, bar none. It's focus is
totally internatl. and the quality of the work shown
is definitely superior to that in Cer. Monthly
(particularly of late.)

The quality of the magazine plus shipping make it
expensive but high quality paper, ink and press work
aren't cheap. It's a big world out there and
Mansfield has definitely expanded the horizons of her
readers. Give it a look - perhaps your local library
does, or could, subscribe.

Dear Eliabieta and Karen,
I agree that Art and perception is a beautiful magazine. But i have to
add that Kerameiki Techni International Ceramic Art
Review from Greece is also a great magazine with quality images and
excellent articles.

Les -

Re: Ceramics Technical

I mentioned C: A & P only becuase Lili started talking
internatl. For "how to...." I think CM is still
better. Cer Tech has slid, albeit it knowingly, into
too much non-tech/anthropology and has become almost a
conglomeration of everything that doesn't quite fit
into C:A & P.

However, man does not live by "how to..." alone and
for stimulating "WHAT to..." and widening horizons, C:
A & P is fantastic.
