Your trip, and your leg strength are VERY impressive.
You make me want to get back to NYC and I'm only 6
hrs. away. Most of us would KILL to see the museum
storage you spoke of. (Yes, the Smithsonian admits
everyone but with an attendant right there, I felt
rushed.)
I just finished a ceramic history course which had
been on my mind for a year. Combined with the Toronto
Gardiner Museum show of Coper and Rie and their
influencees, many of which are European, I started
asking "how did Scandinavian ceramics get to look the
way they did and still do?" The answer has multiple
parts. But I hope you get time to explore this
history and tradition where you are now.
