The San Antonio Potters' Guild is conducting a fundraiser in the form of a
raffle to help with various projects that are an important part of the
Guild's yearly activities. These important projects include our annual Empty
Bowls event that raised over $16,000 last year for the local food program
at the San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries and to our Frank Gadot
Scholarship Fund that grants funds to persons showing need of support to
further their education in the ceramic area. The Guild is offering BOTH the
recently published "500 Teapots" and the "500 Bowls" books as the prize for
a $5 donation to the Guild. The blind drawing from all donations will be
held at our
September 10, 2003, meeting. These books feature many national clay artists
and their beautiful ceramic work. These two beautiful books would make an
exciting Christmas gift or gifts!
