very few of you understand how close
i was to deleting that post about the fire.

when letters comes across my computer,
it is in a different form than clayarters see it.

that block of type-set was very strange.
i almost zapped it. it was when i saw the word
fire, that i re-read it. (yes, i speed read all posts)

when formatting comes to me in
script, strange arrangements or `styled type`
i often zap them. they appear on my screen
as html code. (sometimes i cannot read it at all)

earl's post was a reminder that odd formats
have a very good chance of not making the list.
just a fact, and he knew it.

most clayarters do a great job in posting.
99 percent. so keep up the good work...
the rare and sometimes nuisance post will
be zapped. and, i do not reply to folks when
they complain.
no one has that much time.

snail has the best format of any
clayarter.

thin, half page format. to the point.
never more than a page of copy.

those long, rambling, philosophic posts
just are not read by folks. about 2 percent.
( i might as well zap them, you will anyway.)

some, like janet have a faithful following.
but, i suggest when you have a great deal
to say...break it up into two or three posts.

and remember, religious comments do not pass
mustard here, and just because it is eastern
(ah, grasshopper, a story) it is still religion.
and bashing our government does not sit well
with this moderator. left, or right.

there are some good reasons that clayart is
considered one of the best listservs in the world.
remember, what makes a list great? rules of conduct.
