Dear Friends,
My attention has been drawn to two new texts. The first is M. N. =
Rahaman, "Ceramic Processing and Sintering", ISBN 0-8247-0988-8. =
Descriptions of the content suggest that it might be worth having a look =
at. It may provide a more up to date view of what is happening when we =
process both clay bodies and glazes, even though it is directed at a =
sophisticated scientific and industrial audience. I would be interested =
to find out if the Author invokes the "Eutectic Process" as an initiator =
of the things which bring our ceramic materials to maturity. At $US 225 =
it is a bit outside my league though I will try the local borrowing =
sources.
The second is Roy W. Rice, "Ceramic Fabrication Technology. ISBN =
0-8247-0853-9. This one might have some interesting information for the =
Extruder people. but again, at $US 120.00, it is a bit beyond my means.
Information can be had at www.dekker.com=20
Best regards,
Ivor Lewis. Redhill, South Australia.
