Jeff Zamek wrote a book called, What Every Potter Should Know. Towards the end of the book he tells the story of his beloved dog, Friday. When Friday died and was cremated, Jeff got the idea to use the ashes in a glaze for his coffee mug....as a way of keeping Friday close to him. He tells the story in the book, and includes the recipe he used and a picture of the mug. Oh, he named the glaze, Black Friday Glaze. Toni Smith in Ohio, wondering how I would feel about becoming part of somebody's dinnerware!
