Where do you live? Where I live (California) it is upwards of $5000 to have
the power company bring more power to your house.

just built workshop and it was 300 feet from the house,wy cost on 200 amp
circuit from house to shop would have been almost 1000 for materials , i was
able to get an under ground line run from the pole with a transformer just
for my building to ensure plenty of capacitie and it was all free. i also
get a seperate bill for the shop so i can designate it for the shop and hand
the bill to the bookeeper.
