Ivor is correct in his view. There would be trace
elements ofther than key fill oxides which would be
CaO and P205. The product is variable and would change
in composition from one test to another to some
degree.
The main fill oxides or bulk oxides entering the melt
was what I used with the calculations I done since no
real scientific information could be found with an
analytical graph of cremated remains showing typical
results.
The resulting glaze was made using 500 grams
calculating CaO and P205 and the coloring oxides were
not calculated in the mix. This is a base mix that
upon firing didn't run, didn't crawl, didn't have any
visual physical issues and made several nice pieces
for the family. I am very limited in experience or
experimentation with human ash glazes but the
knowledge I now have worked for me and was passed on
so others may carry out futher tests and evauluations.
Synthetic Ash may be more suitable for entering into
calculations until a theoretical analysis is agreed
on?
So in reality the analysis was bare bones. More work
can be done on it.
