i would use a piece of M board.
that is kaowool that is pressed into a board.
you can glue that to a piece of particle board, or thin plywood.
give it a spray of itc 100.
mount the entire thing on some sort of frame that
can be moved around.
solid, do the job. it will never get above 300 f. anyway.
and, if it does, you are too close to the heat source.
we have made heat shields from music stands.
up and down, move them about.
i think you have access to music stands...hmmmm?
flatten the music rest...bolt on a piece of thin plywood.
add the m board...bingo.
