Attention folks: The focus of the Mel Jacobson workshop in Summerfield =
NC has changed. The (tentative) schedule is as follows:

Friday, October 17: In the morning, Mel will demonstrate the electric =
to gas kiln conversion. After lunch, site visit, then discussion of =
logistics with regard to building a kiln, plus slide presentation. =
Dinner on your own.

Saturday, October 18: We will build a small gas kiln, probably a =
Minnesota Flat Top, but that is subject to change depending on the plan =
decided on by the kiln owner.

Sunday, October 19: We will finish up any remaining building things, =
and fire the new kiln. Kiln will be opened on Monday.

Attendees will each bring 2 bisque fired pots no more than 10" tall x 8 =
wide and made from ^10 clay. Glazes will be provided: definitely a =
kick ass shino, a copper red, and one other to be determined. If you =
are not staying until the kiln is opened on Monday, you must bring your =
pots wrapped for shipping in a pre-addressed, pre-stamped (postage) and =
insured box. When they are unloaded, they will be sent to you via =
United States Postal Service. We will NOT ship UPS.

Since it is now a 3-day workshop, the cost has changed to $165 and =
lunches are included, but dinner is on your own. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY =
REGISTERED FOR THIS WORKSHOP, I WILL CONTACT YOU OFFLINE.

You can register at my website: http://www.living-tree.net/schedule.htm =
or call me at 336-312-3969. Lodging info is also on the website. :)
