Please post this information for your students and/or guild members who =
may be interested! :)

On October 17 - 19, Mel Jacobson will join us at Living Tree Pottery in =
Summerfield, NC for a kiln conversion/kiln building workshop. Mel has =
been working in clay for over 30 years, and you can see his work at =
http://www.pclink.com/melpots

On Friday, 10/17, Mel will demonstrate the conversion of an electric =
kiln to electric/gas. After lunch, we'll go to the kiln building site =
for discussion of logistics and possibly get started that day.

On Saturday 10/18, we'll build the small gas kiln.

On Sunday 10/19, we'll finish the small gas kiln, and fire it if time =
and energy levels permit.

IF we run out of time/energy on Sunday, the kiln will get fired on =
Monday. Participants need to bring work gloves/boots/etc., plus up to 2 =
pieces of bisqueware made from ^10 clay. Glazes will be provided, and =
these will be fired in the new kiln. You will need to provide a =
pre-addressed and stamped and insured box (with packaging), and we'll =
mail your finished pieces when they're unloaded. :)

Cost for the 3 dys is $165 and includes lunches all 3 days. Go to =
http://www.living-tree.net/schedule.htm to register or call =
336-644-1032.
