Hi. I was afraid if I titled this only throwing, my
fellow hand-builders would ignore. Besides, I still throw
parts of things when I have to.
But either my funnybone has been in need of a bang, or someone
out there will chuckle with me.
I was driving yesterday into the countryside around Madison,WI,U.S.A.
only 32 miles to a lake cabin of my daughter's and family to
enjoy with the hundreds of flies (and bees)a birthday lunch for granddaughter
Leah, just 5.
The one that had me laugh aloud was COW PIE THROW.
Just before a winery was a sign that only mildly amused me:
a date was given for a GRAPE STOMP. Both use of cowpies and stomps
have been used by potters for eons.
Well, with corporations taking over the small farms around here, I
am delighted to see that people survive on corn roasts, prayers for rain,
and physical activity like the above.
OT: The bees out there at the lake have been aggressive.
My son-in-law was hanging
a clothes line two days ago, was swarmed by bees, got 14 stings and
had to be driven to E.R., fortunately not too far away. Yesterday,
the birthday girl and her 7 yr. old sister both had bee stings.
The 5 mo. old baby NOT, and I hope that (no stings) continued after I left,
needing to return and work.
regards, Bacia
