I spent the morning firing a minigama kiln...
It took about 30 lbs. of charcoal and about 3 hours.
'Tis a thing of beauty to behold...
and some of the work in a previous firing
came out looking like good
woodfired work...
the kiln is about 2 feet long...
such a kick to work with....
In my advancing age, the thought of firing a
major wood kiln is becoming a daunting task...
So I copied the previous post with the author/translator
of the book...or look into the archieve for information
about the kiln....
Give it a try..such a great deal....
bamboo karen
who is slowly crawling out of a relocation
phase...intense work....geeze...

Is that still a valid (recent) address for ordering the book?
I think I should like a copy.
