My UPS men are the greatest, Lois and Connie.=20
If I'm not
home, they leave my delivery by the studio door
on the dolly placed there for that purpose. If my
order appears unrelated to clay, and I'm not
available, they leave it on the front stoop inside
the protected patio.
They, too, bring dog biscuits as well as make sure
the westie hasn't escaped to the driveway before
they move their vehicle.
Once the postman left a large package on the
ground just inside the fence. The UPS man
asked if I'd like him to bring it up to the house,
which saved me many steps I shouldn't have
expended at that time.
Can't get better than that.

In the Mojave where I, also, would have asked
Phil S. into the house if he'd stumbled into our
desert.... especially since I used to drive the
Ventura Freeway daily for classes at California
State University Northridge and later to
UCLA . That's true. I would take pity on him
if he were surrounded by mud-covered desert
denizens. But ... excuse me Gentle Folk ....
I also have a .357 magnum and know how to shoot=20
it ..... makes it much easier to be "trusting."

UPS must be doing something right to keep these employees happy. Can
anyone explain, though, why there appear to be no UPS women? Maybe
the brown shorts are a turn-off.

There are UPS "women." Worked with several during college Most were
Jocks, because they started in unload where it helps to be fit.. One was my
karate instructor for a short while.
Our UPS woman who delievered to downtown St. Paul, was also Mrs.
Minnesota. :^)

I had one occasionally when I lived in California. [better rephrase
that--a female UPS employee occasionally delivered parcels to me]
Young, blonde--but brown shorts a "turn-off?" Not to me they
weren't--quite to the contrary!
The regular driver was a male, handsome, buffed, well-tanned, very friendly
(he usually arrived while my wife was at work). Might have been
gay--dunno. But attractive enough that he made me wonder if mebbe *I*
was! :-)

I've seen a few UPS women driving trucks and delivering packages here in
Southern CA. Just a few.

It could be something UPS puts into the coffee, but it is probabily
their hiring policy. Most women I have talked to recently think UPS
guys look really hot too. Like I said, probabily smart hiring polocy.

Made famous in the movie "Legally Blonde". I loved when the UPS guy
walked in and said "I've got a package....a big one!"

I thinks it's because they have to be able to lift 75lbs. and some of the
packages can be up to 125lbs. I don't think the brown shorts have anything
to do with it although they aren't much of fashion statement. Josie in

Maybe, but those crap brown uniforms have GOT to go. At least the folks at
the UPS STORE get to wear black.
