Joe,
For me it'd probably be Hammer 's Potter's Dictionary of Materials and
Techniques.
Not so much a compendium of recipies....but a single reference book that
has tons of the info necessary to develop glazes (and clay bodies, and so
on) for most any temperature range.
This comes back to the "give a fish" vs. "teach to fish" approach discussed
elsewhere lately .
