I did tests in school, but I seem to have misplaced the notes.

Hi Donn,
You might try this'
Felspar 80
Silica 10
limestone 10
This is a reliable safe starting point.
Apply it thick and wait for a week or two for the best crackle to
appear.

Donn: the most basic crackle white is:
Feldspar 85
Whiting 15
