Hello clayarters...
I'll be shutting down my studio in the near future to prepare for a move to
an urban studio setting (as yet unfound, anyone have any spaces they know
of?) in the Rochester, New York area. I'm going through the accumulated
detritus of 16+ years in the same studio, pitching much, and trying to
figure out what will be of use to me, or others.
What I've got right now is several dozen boxes of soft brick, which came
from Harry Welch's kiln in Leroy, NY when he disassembled it and moved to
Florida some years back. All of them have been used before. Some of them
are in one piece, but the majority of them are in two pieces (the pieces
are together to make a whole brick). All of them have useful life left in
them. I am willing to give them to the first clayperson who makes the
drive to my Bloomfield, NY studio. I am located in western NY state, about
thirty miles southeast of Rochester. Email me at raerni@rochester.rr.com
if you are interested. I would imagine the most likely, best use of them
would be for stack brick, or for an outer layer shell for a kiln, or for
making a small raku kiln, or for just whatever.
Hope someone can make use of them.
Best,
Richard Aerni
Bloomfield, NY
