OOOO Scott....

The article of Hendley's never says "If it ain't Scottish,
it's crap!" As far as I can tell saying that something
is or is not handmade is not meant to imply worth or
importance. I see it as a valid point of comparison and
discrimination. =20

Now "life" is still a little tricky for me. Maybe it has
to do with all those little variations that come from such
loose production methods (handmade). I have seen a potter
purposefully add 'movement' to his mugs. He ran a tool up
the inside wall and gave the mug a nice undulation. I'm
looking at one of those mugs right now. It does have some
life to it. What would be the corollary in slip casting?

Maybe David has already answered your post (I forget to read
all the way through the emails before replying). He has
answered it before, and a quick search of his posts in the=20
archives might give you a better grasp of where he is coming
from.

Spin 'round,

Taylor, in Waco, coil building his a** off.

... Anyway, didn't mean to rant it's
just that I am getting tired of reading about peoples' self-righteous
exclusionary attitudes regarding this subject instead of trying to
encourage
others with clay, after all I thought that is why we are here, to help
others, not to belittle them. ...
