Hi, I just graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art this past May 2003
with a major in ceramics. I've been trying to look around for opportunities
or jobs that are in the ceramics field. I' ve found it very difficult to
find anything. I desperatly want to be doing something or working with
someone who is involved with clay. I'm not sure really where to look or who
to talk to to find out if anyone needs help. If anyone has any info or knows
of anyone that takes apprentices please write back. Thanks alot --rebecca

Hi Rebeca - if you're into tile, try the Moravian Tile Works in Doylestown,  PA.  I think they still run their apprenticeship program.  It's an amazing facility - you work for the tile works during the day (doing mold pressing of "their" tiles) and get a small stipend and studio space in return.  They have some housing arrangements available.  It is a very competitive program (atleast when I looked at it some 7 years ago) and you have to submit slides, an artist's statement and the like to be considered.  I'm sure you can find the info you need by searching on the web.

Good luck!
