Dear Eric Suchman,
A steel pipe which has the same cross sectional area of your flue outlet =
will work very well. I used a twelve foot 8 in. dia. mild steel pipe to =
vent an 8 cu ft hard brick oil fired cone eight kiln. It lasted about 5 =
years before corrosion caught up with it.
Only problem was to avoid the guy wires which prevented it from falling =
over.
