Australia

Minnamoora Antiques and Collectables (Australia)

English and European pottery antiques and collectables. One thing I saw
was a Melitta coffee set from the 1960's. I was using a Melitta filter
and a plain Melitta ceramic pot in those years, but this is something
else! (In the European Ceramics section)

South Australian contemporary Artists (Adelaide, SA, Australia)
http://users.chariot.net.au/~artful/
Gus Clutterbuck - Sculptural ceramics in stoneware, earthenware, and
paper clay. His is a sardonic look at life through clay. Jody Spithas
is another sculptor on this site who works in clay:

Alexandra Copeland (Hill Smith Fine Art Gallery) (Australia)

Majolica - like decoration on stoneware pottery.

Iran

Nayhshabur Pottery (Iran)

Pottery indigenous to Northeastern Iran (right - left click for larger
images)

Contemporary Pottery of Iran

(Iran Radio site - 23 pgs - can't be found by starting at home page)
Features potters who do traditional-looking or contemporary styles of
work, or both.

Salam Iran Magazine (Iran)

Has a number of illustrated articles about Iranian pottery past and present.
(Enter the term "pottery" in the on site search engine.)

Japan

Wes and Rumiko Rolley's "Japanese Ceramics - An Appreciation"

The Rolleys' personal take on Japanese Ceramics. Essay, photos and
external links.
"Some of the links are in Japanese but if you play around with the links
there are some outstanding photos especially of the Ohi amber glaze."
(Sent by Clayarter Brooks Fine)

Ohi Chozaemon Ware
http://www.hokuriku.ne.jp/ohi/index2.htm
Another Japanese site with English pages available.

Okinawan pottery (Okinawa, Japan)

The site requires a fast system and a broadband modem. If you start
from the main home page, you can skip
the opening flash sequences and find the link to the English pages
fairly easily. Excellent but high bandwidth video (Language is Japanese.)

Heberger College at Arizona State:

China
Banpo Neolithic Village Museum (Xi'an City, China)

Ancient Pottery images (English captions) from this reconstructed 6000
year old village. Images are zoomable. A web search using the terms:
"Banpo" and "Museum" will point to numerous travel sites with brief
histories of Banpo.

Turkey
Nimet Varli (Turkish Pottery Center) (Turkey)

Nimet Varli is the main name here, but the studio does employ a number
of potters and painters. Some pieces include a huge decorated platter
and a ceramic stove, both finely painted in traditional Turkish designs.
