Nancy.

You do not need an 80 mesh sieve. What you need is an old kitchen sieve
(colander will do in a pinch) and line it with old panty hose, or a piece of
nylon gauze curtain, or a piece of silkscreen fabric (any local silkscreener
will sell you the small piece you need. I get the kind used for "glitter."

Line your sieve with that. Put a rubber band around the thing to hold the
cloth tight, or thread a darning needle and stitch it on with a few good
tacks.

Voila.

When you get going, several people, myself included, have done articles in
PMI about making sieveS for dirt cheap.

HOWEVER: IF YOU ARE MIXING GLAZE AND WATER AND SIEVING ONE TWO
THREE---DON'T. EASE YOUR GLAZE INGREDIENTS INTO PLENTY OF WARM WATER, LET
SIT AT LEAST OVERNIGHT SO THAT EVERYTHING CAN ABSORB, DISOLVE ETC. MAKES
SIEVING MUCH EASIER, WITH LESS RESIDUE.

Some ingredients WILL leave residue. Grind if if you can, or simply return
to glaze.
