I left one ingredient out of the recipe in my last post...
probably as a result of the other ingredient that made
the meal so enjoyable...a bottle of good wine. Herewith
I repost the recipe, complete this time.
John's Curried Rice
1 cup Jasmine rice
1-1/2 cups water
1 green or red pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped
2 fresh chile peppers, seeded, chopped into thin rings
(I used chiles of medium heat...from a friend's garden)
2 dried Tabasco chiles, finely ground
1 tsp hot madras curry powder
bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for
20 minutes
